Jackie Welles would be proud, because Cyberpunk 2077 fights its way to two chart positions on Steam.
Eddies rule the world and a big name needs no introduction: Last week, not only the new expansion Phantom Liberty sold brilliantly on Steam. The main game Cyberpunk 2077 did far better still. And there is also a sad story in the top 10.

Cyberpunk 2077
Genre: Role-playing shooter | Release: September 26, 2023 | Price: 29.99 Euro
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is a fantastic story expansion.
Look here, who would have thought it? Phantom Liberty is selling like hot cakes, but is beaten by its own main game in the top 10. Apparently, the release of the expansion was a wake-up call for everyone who hasn’t played Cyberpunk 2077 yet.
Phantom Liberty expands Cyberpunk 2077 with the new district Dogtown and a new story that revolves around espionage. In addition, there are new weapons, cars and the like. In the run-up – and this is also important for pure main game owners – the free update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 was released, which brings many long desired improvements.
Payday 3
Genre: Co-op Shooter | Release: September 21, 2023 | Price: 39,99 Euro
In the launch trailer for Payday 3, a well-planned raid turns into a wild shootout.
Fans have had to wait a long time for Payday 3, and it’s finally coming out – and being torn apart on Steam. The ratings there are in the deep red range, over 27,000 Steam reviews are mostly negative
.
The co-op shooter with heists suffers from server problems and other technical shortcomings. That’s a pity, according to our author Christian Schwarz, who recognizes a great game underneath in the test. Hopefully the developers will plug the holes as soon as possible.
EA Sports FC 24
Genre: Sports game | Release: September 29, 2023 | Price: 69,99 Euro
EA Sports FC24: The Fifa successor shows over seven minutes of gameplay.
So there it is, EA Sports’ first soccer game without a FIFA license. Outside of that, relatively little changes. Sounds counterintuitive, but that’s probably one reason why EA Sports FC 24 is getting so many pre-orders that it’s climbing into the top sellers even before release. Fans are sure to know what they’re getting.
Our tester Fabiano found that the big revolution is missing, but the title can still convince:
Did any representative in the top 10 best-selling Steam games surprise you? Which one was it and why? Do you plan to play Phantom Liberty or are you not through with Cyberpunk 2077 yet? Were you perhaps one of the buyers of the top 10 games? And what do you think of this format in general? Feel free to write us your opinion in the comments!
