Fortnite servers are going down today, September 26, on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to upload the update 26.20 to the servers.
Update, 09:00: The servers have now been completely disabled. Soon follows the update.
What’s happening in Fortnite today? Epic Games is shutting down the Chapter 4 Season 4 servers to upload a new update. According to leakers, this update will unlock new skins in the store as well as the Season 4 secret skin.
Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long will they be offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: The servers are expected to shut down at 09:00 German time, according to Epic Games. Matchmaking is already deactivated 30 minutes before, so you can no longer search for new rounds from 8:30 am.
When can you play again? This is a major update. It is therefore likely that Epic Games could restart the servers at 11:00 or even at 13:00. However, this is not confirmed.
When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games usually publishes a short list of patch notes on their site after the update. If that happens, we’ll list them for you briefly and clearly here.
