There has been a long-standing debate among fans of Final Fantasy about how to pronounce the name Cait Sith. Square Enix has now put an end to the discussion for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the game recently posted a message stating that the correct pronunciation in the new game will be “Kate Sihth”.
This means that fans will not have to adjust to the potentially unfamiliar pronunciation of Cat Sith, the creature from Celtic folklore that inspired the character.
Cait Sith is one of the new characters who will be introduced in the second game of the trilogy, and many fans are eagerly anticipating his arrival.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released exclusively for PS5 on February 29, 2024.
While it is likely that the game will eventually be available on other platforms, such as PC, the exclusivity period will officially end three months after launch. This does not guarantee that ports will be released immediately.
