In the midst of collecting all the B-12 memorabilia and Morusque sheet music, our furry Stray protagonist also collects some Badges. These collectibles are basically badges of honor for our feline’s efforts, and finding them all is certainly a fun little side quest to embark on.
Collecting badges will have you interacting with the characters and visiting various corners that you might otherwise miss. So if you’re enjoying life as a cat, I definitely recommend collecting all the Badges in Stray.
That said, here’s a little help on where to find all the Badges in Stray!
Table of Contents
Where to find all Badges in Stray
Outsider Badge
You will acquire this Badge naturally during Stray’s story.
During The Slums Part 2, Seamus will open a door for you that essentially starts the Dead End chapter. At this point, you will automatically acquire the Outsider Badge!
Cat Badge
You can collect the Cat Badge while you are in Midtown. Near the center of town, look for the yellow-lit restaurant with a robot dressed in a white jacket standing outside ordering.
This yellow restaurant is the one to find.
Climb up the counter and enter the back of the room, and you will see a safe in the upper left corner of the room, on top of the shelves.
You will find a note taped to a nearby shelf that says: 2458 :edoC
Considering that the word “code” is backwards, it is safe to assume that the code itself is as well. So, the code to unlock the safe and acquire the Cat Badge is 8542.
This is where the safe is located.
And this is where you can find the code yourself.
Music Badge
Acquiring the Music Badge is relatively simple, and can be obtained during the chapters The Slums or The Slums, Part Two.
All you have to do is collect the eight sheet music that are in the area and give them to the musician Morusque. If you’re having a hard time getting all eight, we have a guide to all the Slum Sheet Music locations.
Plant Badge
The Plant Badge can be obtained while exploring the Ant Town chapter. When you have spoken to Zbaltazar and B-12 is back to his normal self, go up to the next level to meet Malo.
Malo is an adorable robot who waters some plants, and he will ask you to find more plants for them. He will need red, purple and yellow plants.
Bad is adorable. There is no more to say.
For the yellow plant, pick up the cube next to Malo and go down one level. In front of you, you will see a sofa with a pipe next to it. Hop on the pipe and pick up the yellow plant.
Climb on the pipe next to the couch to collect the yellow plant.
Next, to get the purple plant, jump down to the lower level, where you will find two robots playing Mahjong. Next to them, but a little far away, is a tree with purple flowers. Jump to the ledge and then to the tree trunk and pick up the purple plant.
Climb the tree near the Mahjong players to get this plant.
Lastly, for the red plant, stay where you are. On the same ledge you jumped from to pick up the purple plant, you’ll also see a bucket. Climb into the bucket and head to the distant island through the barrels in the water. Once there, you can collect the red plant.
You can see this tree with a red plant, and the one with a purple plant, from this space. Look to the right to see the purple plant tree.
The tree is next to some scavenging robots.
With all three plants, return to Malo to collect the Plant Badge!
Neco Badge
To get the Neco Badge, you will need to have progressed far enough through the Midtown chapter to have given Blazer the worker’s jacket and helmet. After this, you can infiltrate the Neco Corp factory.
Once you have passed the first area full of sentry drones, you will go through a large door and a construction worker will be on your right looking for his keys.
Oh.
Talk to them and they will ask you for help finding the keys. Move forward to the area where large garbage cages are being dumped, and go to the end of the path where you have to go through the barrels.
Instead of continuing straight, turn right. Here you will be able to interact with the trash pile and collect the keys from the workers. Now, return to them and give them their keys to recover the Neco Corp badge. Next, return to the place where you found the keys, but continue straight to continue with Stray’s story!
The worker’s keys are found in this pile of trash.
police badge
The Police Badge is another one that can be picked up while in Midtown. Head to the center of town, where the robot hologram is, and with the security station (the yellow-lit building run by a Peacekeeper) on your left.
The alley to the left of the station is the one you must make your way across to the platform.
Go down the alley on your left, just before the security station. At the beginning of the alley, ride the platform up the fans and steel platforms until you reach a small window with two bars above it. You’ll be able to sneak in, interact with the Companion, and claim the Police Badge.
Make sure you are on the highest platform and look for the shape of the pipe to know where to head.
Those are the six Badges collected in Stray. Don’t forget to look for all the B-12 memorabilia during your trip, and be sure to check out our Stray review.
